Who we are

Lively! (“Lively,” “we,” “us”) is a community app for writers — stories, poems, quotes, and journals — operated by Team OBliq. This Privacy Policy covers the Lively! Android application and livelyindia-teamobliq.web.app.

By creating an account or using the app, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Lively!.

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the product.

Account & identity

Email address and password (email sign-up), or Google account identifiers when you sign in with Google
Display name, unique username, optional profile photo
Optional profile details you choose to add (for example gender; date of birth is not shown publicly)
Email verification status

Your content

Composes you publish or draft (title, body, type, audience, timestamps)
Comments, likes, saves, follows, and blocks
Reports you submit (and reports filed about content you post, as needed for moderation)
Profile photos and images you upload

Activity & device

In-app activity needed for the feed, notifications tab, and unread badges
Push notification tokens so we can deliver likes, follows, and comments
App crash messages and short diagnostic breadcrumbs (when signed in), to fix bugs
Basic operational logs from Firebase and Google services

What we do not collect for Lively itself: precise GPS location, contacts, SMS, phone number, or microphone audio. Camera access is used only when you choose a profile photo from the camera.

When we share information

Your public profile and published composes are visible to other signed-in users according to your audience settings. Beyond that, we share only with:

Service providers who host or operate parts of Lively! (see below)
Other users when you interact with them (follows, comments, likes) or when they view content you made public
Legal requests if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process
Business transfers if Lively! is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale (we will notice you first)

We do not sell your personal information for money.

Third parties, ads & hosting

Firebase & Google

Authentication, database (Firestore), cloud messaging, and Firebase Hosting for this site. Google processes data under its own terms and Google’s Privacy Policy.

Google Sign-In

If you choose Google sign-in, we receive your Google account ID and associated profile info (name, email, avatar) to create your Lively account.

Google AdMob

Lively! shows ads (including banner and occasional interstitial ads) via Google AdMob. AdMob may use device identifiers and advertising cookies to serve and measure ads. You can opt out of personalized ads in Android settings / Google Ads Settings.

ImgBB

Profile images you upload are sent to ImgBB so we can host a stable image URL on your profile.

Retention & deletion

We keep account and content data while your account is active. You can delete your account from Settings → Account actions. Deletion permanently removes your profile and posts, then signs you out — and cannot be undone.

Crash diagnostics and operational backups may persist briefly after deletion, then age out. Published content that others interacted with may remain in their past activity where the product requires it.

You can also submit a data deletion or export request on this site via the data deletion form, or from Settings → Privacy in the app.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards on our services — including encrypted transport (HTTPS), Firebase Authentication, and Firestore security rules that limit who can read or write each document. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use a strong password and keep your Google account safe.

Children

Lively! is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices & rights

Edit your profile

Update name, username, photo, and public details anytime in the app.

Audience controls

Publish composes to everyone or followers only. Drafts stay private until you publish.

Block & report

Block users and report content or accounts from the app. Manage blocks in Settings.

Notifications

Turn off push notifications in Android system settings for Lively!.

Ads

Opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings on your device.

Account deletion

Delete your account from Settings when you are ready to leave for good — or submit a data request from this site.

Depending on where you live (for example EEA/UK/California), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal data. We will respond to verified requests — use the contact below.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product evolves. The “Effective” date at the top will change when we do. Material changes will be highlighted in the app or on this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
